Happy MARCH friends!!!! Can you believe we are already into the third month of the new decade?! A few good things I wanted to share with you this week…

DIY | This shoe cabinet built by Ashley Basnight of SmashingDIY on Instagram and Handmade Haven blog is amazing!!!!! I love the concept, watching the build process and the fun color Ashley painted it! Watch snippets of the build in highlights on the SmashingDIY feed.

Fashion | I couldn’t resist these leopard print flats from the J. Crew Factory store that are on sale and oh so cute. I wear my leopard print belt from this same line endlessly, and one of my besties gave me this cute leopard clutch for Christmas so I’ve got all the leopard print accessories covered :).

Read | Meet Me In Monaco by Hazel Gaynor and Heather Webb is such a pretty story set around the wedding of Grace Kelly to Prince Rainier of Monaco. It’s an easy read of a glamorous time in Hollywood and the French Riviera.

Watch | Have you watched anything great lately? This fall in particular we’ve been homebound and feel like we have watched EVERYthing out there. We have cable with HBO, Netflix, Hulu AND Amazon Prime so we have a lot to choose from and really enjoyed the Jack Ryan series. Have you tried it? I’ll post more shows we’ve enjoyed in subsequent Noteworthy posts!

Adventure | Last week Mark and I snuck away to Florida to visit his mom and dad for a few days. Our son was nearby spending the week on Sanibel Island with our good friends so we crashed them for a couple of days too, and then traveled up to Longboat Key, one of the barrier islands to Sarasota on the west coast of Florida, to soak up some Vitamin Sea and recharge after a LONG last few months!

We stayed at this small hotel which was perfect for just the two of us, sans kids. It was a treat to be right on the ocean for a couple days. We watched the sun rise and set each day from our deck, read, slept, and listened to the sounds of the surf and birds, it was so good for the soul! It was so beautiful on Longboat Key, we loved it and would stay at this hotel again.

Eat | While on Longboat Key we had a fantastic dinner at the charming restaurant Euphemia Haye, and then listened to live music upstairs. Definitely a great little find if you ever visit this area!

Travel Hack | Have you tried this tip for packing necklaces? It’s seriously the quickest and lightest way to keep your long baubles from becoming a twisted mess, and I love how it just tucks right into my bag.  I packed 6 necklaces this way for Florida.

Shop | I am all about waiting for a good sale for any house purchases! This week’s best sales…

Seagrass runners like the last one I used on our stairs are on sale.

The bentwood and rattan counter stools from our kitchen are back in stock and lower in price again (they had shot up there for a while!)
