Do you love to troll Craigslist and Facebook yard sale sites as much as I do? I always seem to be on the lookout for a friend, family member or myself (I haven’t given up hope that one day I’ll meet my dining table match made in heaven on CL.) Frequently I come across complete steals that I wish someone I know would snatch up, so I thought I’d share gems and their hidden potential……starting with these beauties!
Can you see the potential?
The fabric might not be your style, but imagine them with fresh white slipcovers in a room like this…….
….with a punchy geometric on a porch…..
…..add some texture and warmth to a room….
…..or spray paint them a fun color!!
I love the chair my in-laws gave us. Even though it’s at least 20 years old, it’s so well constructed that all it needed was a fresh set of slipcovers and a paintjob to give it new life. Now it’s one of the most comfy and coveted seats in my house!
The beauty of a rattan chair is that it’s lightweight, easy to move, brings warmth and interest to a room and is as appropriate in a sophisticated living room as it is on a screened in porch! And a pair of them for $75 – a steal!!

I have a bit of a problem seeing potential in CL pieces. 🙂 I'd snag those in a heartbeat and worry about who/where they were going later! I think your table is out there somewhere!

I spend way too much time making over CL finds in my head. I love rattan chairs, so I think I would go for this one, but probably wait until they are gone.

Love those chairs! Even though I need another chair like a need a hole in the head, you had me googling how far Mystic is from where I like in CT (having just moved here, my CT geography is horrible). I was actually happy to find that it is an hour and a half away. It removes the temptation! 🙂

Those are fabulous! Unfortunately, our rattan chair is the favorite spot for the CAT to sit! BTW, I've been wondering about that new little item for your chair…is it fabulous? Did I miss you showing it off? 🙂

Here in Hawaii these rattan chairs are a dime a dozen. I picked one up at a garage sale for $1.00 last week and made it over. 🙂 Here's my post:

I'm loving these chairs, I would have snapped your hand off to get them at $75 if you lived near me in the UK. A real bargain if I say so myself 🙂
