I was going to tell you in great detail about why I rarely share “inspiration” photos on my blog from other sources anymore (this little thing called copyright infringement),
how I have been trying to wrap my brain around continuing Paint Color Crush (a series I started in 2016 to share a specific color in beautiful interiors),
Friday Finds, including a new countertop from Ikea (I’ve got to use it somewhere!),
and design work I’ve been doing as of late (mostly e-design which I am loving!!)
when it hit me that it would be fun to combine all these things……
gorgeous paint colors, pretty designs and fun finds!
So- welcome to Paint Color Crush 2017!
Every week, a design around a winning paint color.
I mentioned today’s color on Facebook and in the Weekender newsletter last week:
This color would be stunning on a kitchen’s lower cabinets!
SAVE with the rug and these inexpensive brass cup pulls, and this fantastic new countertop from Ikea, the Barkaboda. It’s veneered on the top, not solid as this photo makes it appear, but it’s certainly an attractive and affordable choice to update a kitchen without spending $$$$$.
SPLURGE on the Moravian star pendants (over an island perhaps?), a few well placed mother of pearl knobs and a bit of this gorgeous tile! (see a few examples of the tile here.)
This pretty lady would be perfect in an adjacent dining area, hall or mudroom!
Check out the Paint Color Crush board for more Dark Harbor inspiration!
I hope you enjoyed this new spin on Paint Color Crush. I had tons of fun daydreaming about how it could be used in a home!
Wishing you a wonderful weekend!
