Thank you to everyone for your comments on my One Room Challenge project. Today the fun begins….I’ve been happily ripping baseboards off already. Day 1 – feeling optimistic that this is do-able. I’ll report back after six weeks on whether I was extremely overconfident or not!
Apparently I am going through a phase of my life where I just can’t carpe the darn diem enough.
Tomorrow I’ll be participating in my first mud run – 3.21 miles and 10 obstacles.

To some of you, running 3.21 miles is a no-brainer I’m sure.
But did I mention I hate to run? Like, really despise it? And although I work out, I am truly the most non-athletic person on the planet?
But I can’t say no to a challenge…..it’s the stubborn Irish in me. My friend Betsy is very persuasive (a college athlete, people! Why do I think I can keep up with her???) My goal is just to finish. I will definitely be walking part of the race, and I’ll likely be crawling over that finish line, but I’m determined to finish it. If you don’t hear from me next week, it’s because I’m still lying in the mud over the finish line.

Let’s just say I am freaking out more about the race than building a wall of bookcases!
Moving on to the Best of the Nest……..
I can’t even BEGIN to tell you how fun it is to check out all your “best of” projects!!

If you’re new to Best of the Nest, it’s a link party held on the last Friday of every month, where you get to feature your BEST home related project of the month – design, DIY, food, art, craft.
The second installment of BOTN did not disappoint. Here are just a few of the great link ups that caught my eye.

Lisa at Gracie Blue linked up a mini home tour and I just love her style! Check out this gorgeous little gallery wall in Lisa’s kitchen.

Julia at Cuckoo4Design reupholstered her chaise. What????? Yes, reupholstered a chaise. I’m pretty much speechless.

Krista at Goodwill Glam made an awkward shelving space in her bathroom colorful and organized with a roll of wrapping paper and some pretty boxes to store all her products in.

Jen at House of Ruby Jean made a wine box into a box to organize and display her jewelry.

Beth at DesignPOST shared her newly striped hallway of awesomeness.

Don’t forget that you can link up the best of your nest on Instagram! (#bestofthenestparty)
mrsjessdaniels shared a window she added trim above to give it a farmhouse style – one of many throughout her house that she is tackling!

Check out Driven By Decor, Simple Details and Dimples & Tangles for even more fabulous features from March!
Mark your calendars now – the next Best of the Nest party is Friday, April 25.
I’m looking forward to seeing what you’re up to this month.
If you were featured you are welcome to grab a BOTN button.
