Watercolor Fabrics

Last summer I was innocently walking through Homegoods and a pillow JUMPED right into my cart. It was completely against my will. After a half hour or so of walking around with this pillow I put it back on the shelf, but it broke my heart a little, I’m not gonna lie.

A month or so later I found myself again at Homegoods and this time I happened to have an HG gift card burning a hole in my pocket. I was looking for lamps but like a magnetic force I was pulled towards those darn pillows, and AGAIN one just jumped right into my cart – those pillows are so naughty!! – and this time I couldn’t resist taking it home with me.

I am totally smitten with watercolor fabrics.

Even the mass produced pillows at Homegoods seem artistic, and there is something about the muted-ness of watercolor that is just easy on the eyes. Would you agree?

Aurora Ikat Multi is making a big splash lately…..

Kristin at The Hunted Interior used it on her desk chair and another fabulous blogger we all know and love is considering it for her fabulously colorful house.

Here are a few more that have caught my eye as of late.

Watercolor Ikat by Candy Kirby Designs on StoreEnvy.

P. Kauffman’s Paint Palette in Punch at Tonic Living.

Valencia from the UK based Just Fabrics.
Tresco C Tana Lawn at Liberty Arts Fabric (UK).
Dwell Studio’s Landsmeer Citrine at Tonic Living.
I like this colorway also – Landsmeer Currant at Tonic Living.
Bamboozle in Opus by No. 9/Jim Thompson Fabrics
I couldn’t find the fabric source for this photo, but love how bold and graphic it is, especially against that dark wall!
Photo (and upholstering tutorial) by Amanda Brown at Design Sponge.
Watercolor at Interior Mall
Bloom Stripe at Lewis & Sheron Textiles.
Fuschia Dots from Domesticate on Spoonflower.
Starting at $17.50/yard, this fabric above is a steal compared to the similar Brunschwig & Fils fabric!!!
The designer Cest La Viv on Spoonflower has many beautiful watercolor fabrics.

One more. This watercolor fabric is my all time favorite!
Cap d’Antibes in Multicolor by Bergamo Fabrics.
What a statement fabric!!
And I would happily drink red wine on this without giving it a thought!
So what say you –
are you a fan of watercolor fabrics,
or not so much?

(And yes, I am currently obsessing over fabrics since I have 6 large dining chairs sitting in my living room awaiting makeovers!)

Have a wonderful day my friends.

These look pretty nice in the right situations, haha, I see where it would take a while to get used to. We should think about stocking some like these soon.

I've been keeping an eye out for what trend was going to replace chevron! Hah!

I am obsessing over watercolor fabrics as well! In fact I've been pinning some ideas for my bedroom. Always changing, aren't we? Love the pillows that jumped in your cart!
