Last summer I was innocently walking through Homegoods and a pillow JUMPED right into my cart. It was completely against my will. After a half hour or so of walking around with this pillow I put it back on the shelf, but it broke my heart a little, I’m not gonna lie.
A month or so later I found myself again at Homegoods and this time I happened to have an HG gift card burning a hole in my pocket. I was looking for lamps but like a magnetic force I was pulled towards those darn pillows, and AGAIN one just jumped right into my cart – those pillows are so naughty!! – and this time I couldn’t resist taking it home with me.
I am totally smitten with watercolor fabrics.
Even the mass produced pillows at Homegoods seem artistic, and there is something about the muted-ness of watercolor that is just easy on the eyes. Would you agree?
Aurora Ikat Multi is making a big splash lately…..
Kristin at The Hunted Interior used it on her desk chair and another fabulous blogger we all know and love is considering it for her fabulously colorful house.
Here are a few more that have caught my eye as of late.
Watercolor Ikat by Candy Kirby Designs on StoreEnvy.
P. Kauffman’s Paint Palette in Punch at Tonic Living.
(And yes, I am currently obsessing over fabrics since I have 6 large dining chairs sitting in my living room awaiting makeovers!)
Have a wonderful day my friends.

Given the right environment they look lovely. However, I am not a huge fan. A bit too modern and artsy for me personally.

I'm with you on this one Lisa and I can't blame you for grabbing that gorgeous pillow! Just thinking if we could do beautiful water color fabrics on spoonflower too using our waterlogue app…. hmmmm, that will probably be gorgeous fabric too!
Cassie @ Primitive & Proper says
i love them, too- they have a very artsy and free spirited sense!

Those darn pillows, they must be related to all the other goodies at HG that jump into MY cart. ha! I'm with ya, love the watercolors.
Elizabeth @ The Little Black Door says
I hate it when that happens at HG. And I'm glad I'm not the only one who walks around that place for an hour with stuff in my cart only to put it back. 🙂

Ooh, those are really pretty. Other than the Bamboozle I don't think I'd seen any of those before. And my favorite part is the thing about not worrying about spilling red wine on them. Bonus!!

I'm a big fan!! That last chair is so amazing, I pinned it long ago and had forgotten about it, how could I? SO anxious to see what you'll choose!!
Lobster Meets Peach says
I love color but I am not sure I could do a whole chair in a water-colored print. But then again I might never worry about guests stilling red wine again!!! 😉
Tracy Laverty says
I love the watercolor pillow too! This sounds like something I would have done- put it back and then regret it. I have done that too often. Glad you got it back again!
Kris @ Driven by Décor says
What kind of rock have I been living under? A big one apparently because I haven't seen any of these fabrics. Love them so much – are you thinking about going with one of them for your new chairs?
NanaDiana says
I love them, Lisa. That first one is especially gorgeous, I think! xo Diana

You little sneak… 🙂 Thanks for the shout-out! I still can't make up my mind on that silly fabric! I love it so much, just not sure if it's right for my room. I really love that Landsmeer fabric, too, and the Spoonflower dots are so fun! But that last one…yummy! I've had WAY too many things just jump into my cart at HG and TJ too!

I love the watercolor fabrics, especially the last one – it's gorgeous!

Love the examples you showed. I love the watercolor trend and I am thinking about sneaking it into my living room for spring. Hopefully the boys don't groan about it 😉 xo Kristin

These watercolor fabrics are so dreamy..I think I'm in love. I would cover my entire house with this if my husband would let me.

I am obsessing over watercolor fabrics as well! In fact I've been pinning some ideas for my bedroom. Always changing, aren't we? Love the pillows that jumped in your cart!
Scott Benson says
These look pretty nice in the right situations, haha, I see where it would take a while to get used to. We should think about stocking some like these soon.
I've been keeping an eye out for what trend was going to replace chevron! Hah!
Holly says
Yes to all of them! And there are a few new-to-me ones that I'll have to check out too.
