Shine Home Love | Don’t Disturb This Groove

Hi and welcome to a new week!

 

Mondays have become my favorite day on the blog because it’s really so much fun to share all these favorite corners of home! Are you enjoying this series as much as I am??

 

Today I am thrilled to have over my creative and sweet friend Brandi!
Brandi’s DIY pipe and wood shelves in her laundry room makeover were featured on The Home Depot blog and served as one of my inspirations for my son’s room.

Hello friends! I’m so excited to be here today on Shine Your Light to share a favorite corner of my home. Thank you again Lisa so much for having me!
 
My name is Brandi and I blog over at Don’t Disturb This Groove. Interesting name for a blog, huh? Translation:  When it comes to decorating, cooking, cleaning, taking care of my home I get into a creative zone; my groove. When this happens I turn on the music and have fun!
My living room is my quiet place, my favorite corner. It’s the first thing you see when you walk in the door, so I try and keep it clean and clutter free.
 
For an inexpensive look, I love switching out the throw pillows on the sofa. I can achieve a totally different look just by switching the pattern or placement.
 
At the end of my day I love to snuggle on the sofa with a book or magazine.
 
I love sitting in this spot surrounded by fresh flowers.
No matter the season, fresh flowers in a vase really perk up the room.
 
I’m the happiest when the sun comes out and the natural light fills the room.
  
My home is my sanctuary. It makes me smile every time I walk in the door. I hope you’re inspired to make the best of your own!

Isn’t this space lovely??? I adore Brandi’s style and she has so many great before-and-afters, along with tons of DIYs and projects on her blog!

    Hi Brandi! First, I LOVE your blog name as I can completely relate to being in that “groove” and enjoy that time so much! Second, can you PLEASE share about your living room curtains? I love that they are a soft, neutral, geometric pattern and I’ve been looking for something like that for a LONG time! Thank you!! 🙂

    Brandi, this living room is gorgeous! I also love to add fresh flowers. They add so much to a room. I also have those same linen border Pottery Barn pillows. Aren’t they great?!? This room is so beautiful!! And Lisa- I love, love this series!! 🙂

      Amber I love how Brandi can completely change up her space with the color of pillows and flowers. So much flexibility with that neutral base! So glad you are enjoying this series…..can’t wait to share to share the amazing guest poster for tomorrow!!!!!!!
