Despite how much complaining I do over the course of the winter, I really do love living in New England! I love the seasons, I love the history, and I love all the beautiful places to explore within driving distance for us.
My sister-in-law, her husband and kids rented a house on Nantucket for the past couple of weeks and we all enjoyed visiting them. Have you ever been?
If not, I’m sure you’ve heard of Nantucket, which along with Martha’s Vineyard, is off the coast of Massachusetts (shown here in red).
Last week when I shared some fabulous vacation rentals on Cape Cod, they were all in dreamy oceanfront locales, on the much higher end of the renting price scale. This week I thought I would share homes in a range of prices so you can get a feel for what Nantucket has to offer.
All prices are for the peak summer season – so are you ready for some sticker shock? It is Nantucket after all! (FYI – every one of these rentals is out of my vacation rental price range!!!!)
Nantucket Town #1 {$3,500/week – 3 bedrooms/1 bathroom/sleeps 6}
For this rock bottom price you can get an adorable little cottage for a week’s holiday.
Madaket {$3,750/week – 2 bedrooms/2 bathrooms/sleeps 6}
This is another seaside cutie that was actually featured in Country Living Magazine! Wait until you see inside!
Tom Nevers {$3995/week – 2 bedrooms/1 bathroom/sleeps 6}
“Tom Nevers” is a village of Nantucket, the name reportedly dating back to the Nantucket Wampanoag Never family that lived on the island in the 1600-1700s. The area was called Tom Never’s Head, including Tom Never’s Pond. Over time the apostrophe was dropped and now this neighborhood of Nantucket Island is known as Tom Nevers.
Nantucket Town #2 {$6,000/week – 4 bedrooms/2.5 bathrooms/sleeps 8}
Another “cute” little cottage…..
How pretty is this??
What’s inside this little house out back, you might ask?
If you have a few more dollars to spend, how about this beauty?
Siasconset #1 {$7,400/week – 3 bedrooms/4 bathrooms/sleeps 8}
However the biggest attraction for this house is that it is walking distance to this gorgeousness!
This one might be my fave.
Siasconset #2 {$8,000/week – 3 bedrooms/2 bathrooms/sleeps 8}
This is a pet friendly rental!
Nantucket Town #3 {$8,500/week – 4 bedrooms/3.5 bathrooms/sleeps 7}
If you’re looking for a more elegant, adult house to rent, this is the one for you. This house is on a quaint and very she-she street near the downtown area of Nantucket.
It has been completely redone by a designer.
Madequecham {$15,000/week – 4 bedrooms/2 bathrooms/sleeps 8}
You were thinking something with a pool would be nice? How about this one….
Tennis courts on the private property.
And of course this pristine, white sandy beach nearby too.
Polpis {$2,500/night ($17,500/week) – 7 bedrooms/6.5 bathrooms/sleeps 14}
How about a Nantucket compound for your vacation?
A weight room in a vacation rental? Well of course!!
Complete with a guest house, obviously. 🙂
Surfside {$22,500/week – 5 bedrooms/4.5 bathrooms/sleeps 12}
That estate wasn’t doing it for you? How about this one.
The guest house.

Wow, beautiful homes. I think I would prefer the small, quaint homes right on the beach. I would love to visit this area soon. Can't wait to see pics of your trip.

I'm from the Boston area and in our early-mid twenties, my girlfriends and I would rent a house for a week every summer. Its my favorite memories!
My parents just bought a house in the cape and I cant wait to spend more of my summers there!

Love them all. I seriously want to know how often those 20k+ a week rentals are booked. That's crazy! Looking forward to seeing more of your trip.

So beautiful!! This explains why when growing up we sailed into and picked up a mooring in the harbor when we visited! I think back in 1980s that was 30/night 🙂
Cassie @ Primitive & Proper says
oh to have the money to stay in those….. dreamy!
Elizabeth @ The Little Black Door says

We definitely need to plan a visit to that gorgeous area, there's shopping and great food, right? 🙂 We might be camping on the beach though!

Can you loan me 25K? After seeing the last one, none of the others will do.
