Hello sweet friends! I’m trying to keep my head down and cross things off my current to-do list as we put our indoor and outdoor spaces back together after the past few months of renovating, but now that I built a trellis for our patio garden, I’m dying to bail on my list and tackle some more outdoor projects! If you’re also excited to beautify your yard this summer, here are few great DIYs you could knock off in a weekend!
Raised Garden Planters
at House By The Bay
Weed Free Flower Bed
at Girl, Just DIY
DIY Mailbox Post (and big curb appeal boost!!)
at Living Letter Home
Creating A Mailbox Garden
at Zucchini Sisters
Vertical Garden Wall Planter (with storage space!)
at The Handyman’s Daughter
These all hail from May’s At Home DIY challenge – Make It Pretty Outdoors – you can find tutorials for all 25 outdoor DIYs here. This is such a fun monthly series with beginner to advanced build and create tutorials from DIY bloggers!
If you missed my challenge, catch this simple, custom sized trellis project here!
Our deck is almost done and the patio is getting zhushed up too – read about my plans for it. We are huge fans of what Raymour & Flanigan stand for, and the quality of the furniture we already have from them, and are thrilled to partner with them on this project!
KITCHEN UPDATE!! As I told you a while back, the kitchen is done and fully functioning – with the ONE exception of the vintage doorknobs for the pantry doors! Remember these??
They have driven us bonkers!!!
Seeing as I got everyone so fired up about those pantry door with my big plans to find something salvaged and amazing, THEN going to Plan B with new French doors outfitted with an “antique” mirrored finish on the glass and ACTUAL antique door knobs – I just couldn’t bring myself to share the whole kitchen until those suckers were installed – and who knew that was going to be such an odyssey? I’ll tell you soon all about how this one little itty bitty part of the kitchen renovation has been the bane of my existence and at the same time, one of my very favorite details – and also how you can avoid my headache trying to use old doorknobs on a new door!
Love you guys! Thanks for following along with these DIY and design shenanigans and for being the kindest and nicest readers in all of blogland! Hope you are having a great week.
