What are your feelings on this subject?
I know you have a strong opinion one way or the other.
Or does it drive you crazy to have to take off decorative pillows each night and put them in a place that you won’t trip over if, say, you or your significant other need to use the bathroom in the middle of the night?
Or perhaps many shams and decorative pillows make your bed feel almost too polished, to the point where if you find one of your beloved children lounging on your made bed you feel like saying – and may even say aloud –
GET OFF THE BED!!! I MADE IT PERFECTLY AND IT’S THE ONLY THING IN THE WHOLE HOUSE THAT LOOKS NICE AND WHEN I WALK INTO THIS ROOM TO PUT LAUNDRY AWAY OR MAYBE EVEN TAKE A SHOWER AND GET MYSELF OUT OF YOGA PANTS I WANT TO SEE MY GLORIOUSLY MADE BED WITH PERKY THROW PILLOWS GREETING ME! IS THAT TOO MUCH TO ASK? THAT ONE TEENY TINY PART OF THIS HOUSE NOT BE CRAZYTOWN???!?!
Um, yeah. WHO would ever say THAT????
He suffered from the disease Progeria and recently passed away at age 17.
He was a truly amazing and inspiring kid – so well spoken and thoughtful.
I would venture to say that in his short life he managed to live more fully than many adults.

We are a fan of pillows, on the bed, and on the couch as well. Doesn't really bother me to have to take them on and off. Love the story about Sam!

This will sound crazy, but I was a minimal bed pillow girl until I met my husband. He is the one that wants two dozen pillows on the bed. I still try to sneak a few off the bed and he notices immediately. I love the look but I prefer to sleep with less. And I have screamed at the dog plenty of times once I've had the bed made and she lays down right in the middle of my perfectly arranged pillows.

The most number of pillows I have on our our own bed is 7. But that's with a lot of groaning from my hubs since he thinks the Euros aren't useful, which to me they are since I like propping up in bed with lots of soft cushy stuff on my back. But mostly, we only have 5 – 4 for sleeping and 1 decorative. 🙂 Will check the video later once I get home, I'm sure it will bring tears to my eyes.

I like the pillows, but I need a place to put them when I get into bed. I don't want to put them on the floor.

I'm totally a fan of lots of pillows on a beautifully made bed. With that said, I hate having to pull them all off the bed every night, and I hate putting them all back on the bed in the morning.

I'm a self professed pillow hoarder. I admit it. As I read this, I'm admiring my new shams that I bought at PB Outlet, as part of my pillow swap 2014 project. I love a fluffed up bed, and it's one thing that I do every day. Makes me feel like I have my act together (a little bit). 😉

LOVE them! I don't know if you remember my Chippendale chair in the bedroom, but that is exactly what it was for – a place to put the stack of pillows and comforter at night! I also like it piled in a certain order and the comforter folded a particular way so it's easy to put back together in the morning! Yes, Mr. Simple is a saint to put up with me! 🙂

LOVE many, many pillows on my bed. Mine layered bed pillows in decorative shams and cases. It feels indulgent to have many pillows. I don't get how people are comfortable with only 1!

I like some decorative pillows on the bed, but I do think that you can overdo it. Plus, I don't know where I'd put them because I wouldn't want them on the bed while I'm sleeping and I wouldn't want to put them on the floor.

I have cut way back on my decorative bed pillows. I don't even use pillow shams anymore. I just have a pair of the pillows that we use to sleep on, 2 pink silky pillows and a small floral. That's it. I love the simple look and I love that I"m not spending so much time fluffing and styling every morning. Great topic.
