Well here it is….after a year of listening to me wax on about how I needed a big table for my family, after looking at 27,562 tables in stores, after weighing whether to buy new, finding a fabulous used table or having one custom made, I finally conned my husband into making a road trip to buy this beauty that I found on Craigslist.
Once they were stripped, I discovered that the legs were a different species of wood than the top and didn’t take the dark walnut stain like the oak, so after mulling over the options with my good friend, Pinny von Pinterest, I stumbled across this photo:
and decided to go with a black base.
It was moved into the house on Saturday morning, and on Saturday night we had our dear friends over to help us christen it.
I’m linking to these fabulous and inspiring blogs this week. Thank you for hosting!

I'm so envious. We're looking for the same thing right now. It's hard to find a 12 ft table that isn't thousands of dollars. Congrats on finding that beauty!!
