Hi friends! Did you have a great weekend? I can’t believe how fast Monday (and the end of February!) rolled around. Once again we’re kicking off the new week with a favorite corner of home (it’s the perfect way to start the week, isn’t it???)
Today’s guest is a mama of three and designer in the Charlotte area, and creates fresh and fun spaces for that are made for real living, filled with creative elements that make them unique! Welcome to….
Hey everyone! I am so happy to be here today because I have been a fan of Lisa’s blog for a long long time! I was also happy to have an excuse to think some positive thoughts about my house because lately I have been bogged down trying to decide on a couch. Sometimes decorating my own house can make me want to just pack up and start all over somewhere else! Luckily there are a few spots that I just couldn’t part with and that brings me to one of my favorites…

Last year I tackled this space in 6 weeks and it is one of the smartest changes we have ever made in our house. This landing area before was a total waste of space and this bench adds some much needed character as well as storage.

I thought this would just be a nice way to add a little seating in a weird space but turns out I use it almost daily. I love working from my laptop here where I can watch my neighborhood from the window. And the biggest reason I love this spot is because it is always clean! Can I get an amen, moms?? There really is no clutter and minimal accessories so anytime I walk by it’s nice and tidy and that’s way more than I can say about the majority of my house on a daily basis! The kids actually utilize the drawers, which hold a ton of games and puzzles, and the pillows only get moved if I get an itch. And speaking of…
I recently added in some new fun pillows (read about those here!) I love that I have a new spot to rotate in my ever-growing throw pillow collection…My husband may never understand it but he certainly doesn’t complain when he lounges here while reading to the kids!
Thank you Lisa for having me and encouraging me to look at my house with new (positive) eyes. Surely I will get that couch situation figured out soon enough, right?! Hope you all enjoyed little peek into our home!
This is one of my favorite spaces of Beth’s home too – such a great use of space and I adore that built in window seat, the roman shades and those floating book shelves!!! And let’s not forget those amazing sconces!! I would blog/read/fold laundry/take naps/basically never leave if this were mine!
Thank you so much for sharing one of your favorite corners of home, Beth!
