Who’s the lucky girl that gets to have a root canal this morning????
Yep that’s right, don’t be jealous, sometimes a lady just needs a little pampering.
While I’m in that chair for hours on end, I’ll be daydreaming about you-know-what. Come with me today for another glimpse into Lisa’s Dream Kitchen!
As a refresher, these are the three spaces we’re looking to turn into one big kitchen (you’ll see this collage a lot over the next year while I plan this project!) Here we have the dining room, work area of the kitchen, and slider area for a table.
This is the slider area.
We used to have our table there but it was really tight and the path to the slider was obstructed. I’d love to make it a seating area with a couple of small chairs, but for the time being it’s working out great as a landing spot for this big fella.
When we remodel, this wall will house a beverage center inspired by a kitchen built-in from one of our former homes. We kept all our barware and liquor in it, and used the countertop as a bar when we entertained. Here it is to the right of some hot babes 🙂
And here it is next to a sleeping babe (notice the elastic bands to keep the babe out of the cabinets. He was always into mischief, that one! Play hard, sleep hard.)
OKAY – so getting back to Lisa’s Dream Kitchen and BEVERAGE CENTERS…..
In addition to the storage aspect, the part of a beverage center that I LOVE is that drinks are not being made and people are not crowding around where the cook is trying to prepare food. A designated beverage spot away from the work area of the kitchen is a must for a entertaining.
With the remodel I would like this area – that will be centrally located next to the family room, the deck and to the side of the kitchen – to serve as a bar when we entertain, and a coffee station for everyday use. A little sink and a dishwasher drawer for barware and stemware are a must, as well as a wine fridge.
Onto the fun part – the inspiration pictures. Feast your eyes my friends….
