Any fellow Christmas decorating slackers out there? Most home bloggers start decorating their house in early November so we can share fun and useful tips and tricks along the way; this year I opted to rip apart my dining room instead (check out the progress of that little project on Facebook!) I’ll update you on the kitchen/dining room projects this week but in the meantime, with Christmas coming in hot eight days from now, it’s time I put away the tools and get my house ready for the crowd we’ll be hosting on Christmas Eve! Our college kids came home this weekend, our tree is up and today I’m going to festify the mantle. I’ve been looking forward to Christmastime in the family room since I gave it a makeover in the spring.
Last year a reader asked for some ideas on decorating a Christmas mantle with a TV above it, and since I’ve been mulling that one over myself I turned to my blogging friends for inspiration.
If you’re struggling with this decorating dilemma too, click on the links to be whisked away to these creative blogs and see more of these gorgeous spaces!
SO many pretty ideas! If you are still festifying your home along with me (yes I made that word up ๐ ), forget trying to make everything perfect and try to enjoy the process of making your home feel extra special as we head into Christmas week and the end of the year!If you’re done with decorating and have moved onto what to make for your Christmas feast, check out these crowd pleasing holiday desserts!
