I Hate Myself For Loving You

I really wish I didn't!

WHY did I ever open the can of black paint?  Particularly while I am in the midst of another very large project?!  A project which does not happen to be the one I claimed as The First Big Project Of The Year?

Ummmmm…..DECORATING ADD perhaps????

Hours and hours….and hours later….I really wish I didn't love the black!
But there's no going back now. What do you think?  DRAMA right?

Then there's the excellent point that Ange made about why she's a fan:
I love the black interior door simply from a cleaning standpoint with 4 kids and 2 dogs.

YES!  Disguise the dirt - all the more reason to keep going with this crazy notion.

(Hey look!  Ange posted about her black French doors today too!  What a co-inky-dink.)

One more coat to go on these doors.

And then…...2 more French doors, 4 more paneled doors (I miscalculated last week….there are 6 paneled doors, not 4 - awesome!), and 0 more bright ideas…at least for a teeny little while!

So - lots of afters to report back to you on - I am a painting maniac right now!

Thank you so much to everyone who shared your thoughts on camera lenses yesterday - you all rock!!

And what's with me and the exclamation points today?!!!  I think maybe I need to cut out the caffeine altogether.  Maybe then I'll be able to focus on one project at a time?

Happy!Day!My!Friends!

Love the look Lisa! Your comment about the dirt is making me think twice about going light.... I too have decorating ADD. I'm all over the place and I seem to always have at least two projects that are half-done.

They look amazing!!! Trust me, it's so worth the pain and horror of painting them. :) Thanks for linking to me, you may have convinced me to paint my powder room and pantry door black now. Thanks! I'm off to finish painting the trim in the basement.

Ok Lisa, I thought you should leave those doors white! I WAS WRONG!!!!!! That is beautiful...so classy and elegant. Love it.

Funny thing is, my door from the sunporch to house (a dutch door) is black, as is the wooden door behind it. I am so used to looking at it, I never even really thought about it being black! Now I want to freshly paint. You have motivated me!
