One of the many shades of a hydrangea?
Perhaps the midnight blue, light blue, steel blue, or cobalt blue of a beautiful gown?

The sky blue of a perfect California day?
The allure of classic navy?

{via}I'm partial to a soft robin's egg blue, especially on a redhead (or three).
I adore the greeny-blues of aquamarine,

The hues of the ocean call my name.
And I'm inspired to bring these peaceful colors into my home. Today I am so excited to join a group of amazing bloggers for the Color My World Challenge!
Each of us has chosen a color to incorporate into our homes over the next few weeks. Remember a little project I talked about a couple months back called Our Master Bedroom? The room with the desk and office chair shoved in one corner and the hideous-but-loved mammoth TV-on-cheesy-stand in the other? The room I would like to be a peaceful haven?
My color challenge will be to use one of my favorite shades of blue ~
to bring the peacefulness of the ocean to my long-neglected master bedroom and bathroom with fabric, paint and accessories. Each week I'll report back to you on the progress and a month from now I'll show you how my aqua challenge went.
But wait - there's more! We invite you to participate too! Challenge yourself to bring a new color into your home, and then link up a post about your new color on reveal day, May 1! If you don't have a blog you can send me photos and I'll post them that day.
In the meantime check out the participating blogs for color inspiration! I am so honored to be amongst this group of talented women in the Color My World Challenge:
Ange of The Blooming Hydrangea
Anna of A Newfound Treasure
Carmel of Our Fifth House
Cassie of Primitive and Proper
Jadyn of Dutch.British.Love
Jessamie of Bird and Branch Redesign
Julia of Black Tag Diaries
Julia of Pawley's Island Posh

Lisa of Trapped in North Jersey
Maury of Life On Mars
Shaunna of Perfectly Imperfect
Shelley of Crazy Wonderful
Suzy of Saved By Suzy
Tiffany of Living Savvy
Tiffany of Worthwhile Domicile

Good luck! I'm looking forward to seeing how you incorporate a new color into your home!
{My Before & After for the month of April will also be for my bedroom/bathroom space - join me this Friday to link up an idea of any kind of project you want to tackle, then come on back at the end of the month to share how it went!}

Aqua/Robins Egg Blue is absolutely my favorite color, but alas, my husband has told me that I have to use a different color from now on. Since I've painted basically every room in the house a shade of that color... :-) Can't wait to see how you use it!
Such a pretty color, perfect for a bedroom! Can't wait to see it. Thanks for joining the challenge!
What a fun post! I think I like every shade of blue. I was in a major teal/ turquoise phase recently, but I'm slipping out of it a tad... or so I think, but you never know, I could end up layering some in... ahh! I have a feeling things around here will evolve, ya know. Can't wait to see how you incorporate aqua!
So many beautiful pictures Lisa! I think I love every shade of blue you featured, but aqua is definitely tops on my list too. Your bedroom is going to be gorgeous!
