Dressing Up Your Pumpkins The Quick & Easy Way

Last week when I showed you how I disguised all the flaws of our front entry with some colorful fall decor, you may have noticed the graffiti on my pumpkins.

In a few weeks' time the kids will carve them for Halloween, but until then I couldn't help but doodle on them a bit with my trusty old friend, the black Sharpie.

This is just about the easiest and quickest makeover I've ever given a pumpkin and I think these two look pretty cute by our doorstep.

There's no end to what you can do with a Sharpie, is there?  Here are a few more ideas for creating some autumnal magic with a big ol' squash and your favorite permanent marker!

Don't you love how pumpkins can be fall decorations and then do double duty for Halloween?

This might be my all time favorite.....the haunted house with carved out moon and windows!  I cannot wait to do this for Halloween trick or treating!

I never cease to be amazed by how the simplest measures can make something a little more delightful.

I'm linking up to Kate's Fall Crafts Party at Centsational Girl and hope you'll join me there!

So darling. I was going to use black paint . . but how silly. A marker is brilliant. Thank you!
